Guitar lessons?

I am eager to learn the guitar, but I'm having trouble finding a teacher in my area who can work on my calendar. Someone suggested I have a few lessons on DVD or VHS. So I have a video and the song where the country songs and I just get bored. Does anyone have any tips useful in some video guitar lessons, and where I can get them. I have an acoustic and whould like to learn bluegrass, rock & blues in the tradition of skill. I know a little, cables and stuff, but I'm still very fond. Please help!

I was in the same boat you are. There's this site that these teachers truly amazing guitar lessons on video show. It also shows you how to play the songs you want to learn. Most videos are free! It's impressive and it really helped. They also classes larger and more advanced for a small fee. They have some of their videos on YouTube too. You should check them out. Your web site www.nextlevelguitar.com Ultimate-Guitar is good for the eyelashes and the articles, but it has videos of florins with close-ups and teachers to break piece by piece to know what to do. He also wrote classes if you need both. Good luck! Oh, and if you want to get the books, the only ones worth buying are the method and theory books music. Mine has two in one, called "Guitar Method for All", Volumes 1 and 2. They are impressive because they are very detailed and easy to understand.
